"I'm often asked why I'm giving so much to this project. I have several answers. This is one of them:  I have dreamt for a long time that education in the humanities and social sciences would be taken seriously in Slovakia. I hope that one day philosophy courses at Slovak universities will not require rote memorization of philosophers' positions but rather provide students with an exciting opportunity to venture into unknown worlds. It's always better to light at least one candle rather than curse the darkness. That's why I accepted the founding and leading of the Collegium of Anton Neuwirth as my mission."
Martin Luterán

"The university no longer has its original meaning: a community of students and teachers seeking the truth. It has been reduced to trainees mastering a certain specific profession. This causes the relation between private and public life to erode, since, as students are taught today, education only prepares one for public life, while one is left to his own devices to handle private life. It is my desire that Collegium of Anton Neuwirth will unite these two dimensions."
Juraj Šúst

"In my life I have been given much. Much of the good that I have been given has profoundly influenced the person I am and the way I think now. These formative gifts were offered by people who did not hesitate to give from what they had. Therefore, these precious and beautiful things that have been given to me so selflessly make me feel obliged to give back. But I also want to pass the wealth of goodness that I inherited to those coming after me. This is why I strive (through my modest support) to share in this exceptional work of the Collegium."
Lucia Pápayová

"The quality of higher education in Slovakia is central to my professional objectives. My understanding of the educational system does not stem from statistics but from my own experience. When I look into the future, I see my children facing the dilemma of where to study. Today I cannot recommend a single school in Slovakia. I want to do something to enable them to study in their home country at schools of high quality."
Michal Považan

"I have had several opportunities to learn what a high quality education looks like and to compare it to the level and system of education in Slovakia. What is missing in this nation is an institution that would teach students how to think deeply and penetrate to the core of a problem. I believe that the Collegium of Anton Neuwirth will become an institution that will form leaders of character and virtue who will influence society and shape the future of this country."
Martin Kolesár

"It is a great honor to accompany a young person during their most formative years! But work with people always demands great courage. It is an investment whose results are seen only when their proper time comes. I am happy that my work with the Collegium allows me to share my life with others and witness such great courage, without which the Collegium would never have come into being."
