In September 2015 we started a new program for students. It has been a second year that „high school Collegiums“ founded by a NGO Myslím, teda som have been working in Košice and Humenné. We are glad that we can create a mutual project for high school students.
We are presenting you our two programs for high schools:
- Collegium GAGLS linked to High school of arm. gen. L. Svobodu in Humenné
- Collegium GTA linked to High school of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Košice
Collegium GAGLS is a high school program dedicated to some of future third graders at High school of arm. gen. L. Svobodu in Humenné.
If you will study in the 3rd grade at High school of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Košice from September, this program is cut out for you.
About Collegium GAGLS and Collegium GTA
High school collegium is offering you an option to experience a year during which you will together with other students and collegium’s lectors be able to discover beauty and wisdom. Purpose of high school collegiums is to help students with their intellectual and personal growth. Students will have the opportunity to improve their critical thinking but also to enhance their presentation and communication skills. All of this you can use not only at high school.
What does the program include:
- 10 seminars which take place during school hours, students participate on seminars instead of regular school lessons
- 4 weekend programs (teambuilding, visit of Collegium of Anton Neuwirth and a trip to Bratislava, spiritual retreat, final leadership weekend)
- 2 to 3 evening meetings in a month – discussion in pleasant and informal atmosphere
- Program begins on the last week of June with the zero meeting before holiday, the first seminar is on the second week of September and the teambuilding weekend at the end of September.
High school collegiums are financed from the budget of Collegium of Anton Neuwirth which is supported by many donors, some projects are also supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung foundation. Collegium GAGLS and Collegium GTA are for their members free of cost, students only pay minor expenses at the weekend events and a 20 € fee at the start of the school year.
